This was my biggest project yet. I created this for a friend who wanted me to make the most detailed version of the costume that i could without killing myself. There's about 56+ hours of work put into this including the wig styling and the hand sewn gold coins. The dress, shirt and pants were made from Casa Collection Satin lining from Jo-Ann's. The big jewels were "make-it-yourself" buttons that were filled with paint from one side. Holes were melted into the discs so that they could be sewn on to secure them. The smaller jewels were made with a soft pink Sculpty clay and covered in glaze. They also had small holes drilled into them and swere secured with clear nylon thread. Gold lame trim was used on the edges of the garments and gold fabric paint on the edge of the large jewels. The wig started as a below the sholders wavy wig from Amphigory.com . We straightened the wig with a hot air curling iron (do NOT try this on your own wig unless you have the proper tools to do so or you WILL melt your wig)/ and it was styled to the wears head. The gold coins are craft foam spray painted with gold foam paint and hand sewn onto the dress. It was worn at Otakon 2005 and cost somewhere around $200 to make.

Wow, i've been looking atalot of sakura costumes, because next year, if i go to the animecon down in chicago, i wanna cosplay her, but i gotta say, so far, yours is the best. I'ts very intricate. Very impressive. ^^
